Barbara Jane McMahon, 96, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. She was born on November 9, 1929, in Delaware County, the daughter of R. Philip and Mildred (Maxwell) Paris. She was a Manchester High School graduate.
On January 12, 1950, Barbara was united in marriage to Harold McMahon in Manchester. Five children were born to this union. The couple farmed together near Masonville until their retirement and then moved to Manchester. Harold passed away on July 17, 1996. Barbara was a proud homemaker and enjoyed playing cards, sewing, reading, travel, and collecting buttons.
Survivors include her son Matthew (Elizabeth) McMahon of Marion; three daughters, Mary (Alvin) Goos of Manchester, Monica Schilling of Manchester, and Michelle (David) Hoefer of Masonville; ten grandchildren Abbey Lindauer, Maya (Jack) Porrino, Mitchell (Bri) McMahon, Parris (Jorge) Partida, Catherine (Jay) Lovaas, Colleen McMahon, Alaina (Mike) Lynch, Jerad (Rachel) Hoefer, Leah (Austin) Palmer, Meghan (Andrew Huber) Hoefer; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harold; her son Mark in 1970; son-in-law’s Nicholas Schilling and Kevin Keuter; granddaughter Courtney Moyer; and brothers Donald (Velma) Paris, Russell (Gwyneth) Paris, and Dean (Mary Jane) Paris.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester, Iowa, with Reverend Gabriel Anderson officiating.
Visitation: 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, Iowa. Friends may also call 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester, Iowa.
Interment: St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Masonville, Iowa.
