Rina Martinez and Eric Bates are happy to
announce their engagement. Rina is the
daughter of Ismael and Cheryl Martinez of
Cedar Rapids. She graduated from The
University of Chicago with a degree in Latin American Studies. Eric is the son of Dan and Pam Bates of Galva, IL. He graduated with a degree in finance from Northern Illinois
University. Eric proposed Memorial Day
weekend 2013 in Chicago on the lakefront. Rina is employed by the State of Illinois in Child Support Services, and Eric is a farm
machinery salesman with A.C. McCartney.
The couple is planning a June wedding.
