IOWA CITY — A crepe cafe fusing Middle Eastern flavors and Western classics has opened in Iowa City.
Le Crave Cafe soft launched its opening on Oct. 31 at 14 S. Clinton St.
“Prepare for an exciting new chapter in flavor, thoughtfully crafted to fit seamlessly into your everyday moments,” their Oct. 24 announcement previewed. “Le Crave Cafe blends European elegance with Middle Eastern warmth, offering a modern twist on classic cafe culture.”
With a focus on coffee and crepes, the thin pancakes often filled with fruits, chocolate or savory ingredients, the new menu includes an array of flatbreads, cold cut sandwiches and sweets like mini pancake bites, Dubai chocolate strawberry cups and “Puff n’ Stuff” pancakes with creamy fillings.
Crepe flavors include berry, banana, Nutella Lotus Biscoff and more, including an option to create your own.
The downtown space was previously home to Molly’s Cupcakes, which closed in July.
