Cedar Rapids martini bar moves to New Bohemia district

CEDAR RAPIDS — Craft’d After Dark is stepping out into its own space with a new name.
The martini bar, opened by John and Candi Davidson in February at 333 First St. SE, has shared its space with the Craft’d coffee shop until now — transforming the cafe into a stylish lounge by night on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Now, its coming into its own as The Martini Lounge.
On Nov. 3, the bar announced its plans to move into 1202 Third St. SE, #102, where it plans to open on Nov. 21.
The new space was previously home to Lacayo, which operated there from November 2023 until its closure in April. Before Lacayo, the space housed Caucho, the former upscale Mexican restaurant by Cobble Hill owners Carrie and Andy Schumacher.
