Sharon Kay Haars, 79, of Marion, Iowa, died on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, where the family will greet friends and family from 9:30 a.m. until service time. A private family committal service will take place at a later date at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, in Hazelton, Iowa.
Sharon was born on February 8, 1946, in Fayette, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Viola (Brown) Pattison. She was a graduate of Fayette High School. Sharon worked at Rockwell Collins, retiring in 2009. Sharon cherished spending time with her family and friends. In her earlier years, she enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing pool and just enjoying her time with her friends. She was a member of the Chatty Hattys Red Hat Society, where she enjoyed spending time with her Red Hat family. Sharon was known to be an extremely kind person who would do anything for anyone.
Sharon is survived and lovingly remembered by her sons, Terry (Julie) Oelberg of Cedar Rapids and Mike (Sherri) Oelberg of Hiawatha; two grandchildren, Cody (Kayme) Oelberg and Brett (Ashley) Vogel; four great-grandchildren, Addison and Dalton Oelberg, and Jordan and Kayden Vogel; brother, Ron (Deb) Pattison of Oelwein, Iowa; nieces, Kandi DeShaw and Keri Amos; and nephew, Ronnie Pattison.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
