MARION — Marion City Hall will be closed Friday due to a planned internet outage, although no interruption is planned to city services.
The outage will allow for the relocation of the fiber network at City Hall. According to a city announcement, affected employees will work from alternate locations for the day to continue serving residents.
Administrative staff for the City Manager's Office and Community Development Department will work from the Marion Public Library's community room from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. while the remainder of City Hall staff will work remotely.
Residents and business owners may conduct city business online, by phone or via email. Normal in-person City Hall operations will resume at 8 a.m. Monday.
