Woman left with serious injuries after Marion shooting

A woman was taken to the hospital Sunday with serious injuries after a shooting in a Marion motel, according to a press release from the Marion Police Department.
Police were called to Sleep Inn, at 5500 Dyer Ave., at 4:23 a.m. Sunday for a report of shots fired. Officers found a woman who had been shot and took her to the hospital with serious injuries, the release states.
No one has been arrested in relation to the shooting, but police believe it was targeted and the public is not at-risk. The investigation is ongoing, according to the release.
