Jeffery “Jeff” D. Brinkman, 66, of Oxford Junction passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025.
Jeff was born on July 22, 1959, the son of Ronald and Alta (Latare) Brinkman. He graduated from Oxford Junction High School in 1977.
Jeff worked as a heavy equipment operator all his life from Alabama to the Virgin Islands ending at Dave Schmitt Construction until his retirement.
Jeff loved hunting and fishing. Fishing with his son was his greatest happiness. His favorite saying was “Family First” and he always made that a promise. When family needed him, he was always there with his quick wit.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son Lucas (Kellee) Brinkman of North Dakota and a Grandbaby Boy due in January 2026. His sister Roxann (Ron) Vacek of Oxford Junction, brother Steve (Kay) Brinkman of Ripley, Tennessee and a sister Lisa Wirth of Lost Nation and a special niece and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece.
Jeff’s wishes were for his immediate family to have a meal and remember the memories we made together.
Condolences may be sent to PO Box 137 Oxford Junction, Iowa 52323. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.dawsonfuneral.com.
