Nora Ione Jellison, 97, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Living Center West. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Lafayette Cemetery in Alburnett, Iowa.
Nora was born on August 30, 1928, in Hedrick. Iowa, the daughter of Ernest Ray and Maxine (Chapman) Stull. She attended Franklin High School and worked for National Oats until her marriage. On September 4, 1948, Nora was united in marriage to Harvie Edward Jellison in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years and of Lafayette Salem Evangelical Church and the Alburnett Historical Society. Nora enjoyed bowling, attending the ladies' group “Golden Rule Circle, " reading anything love-inspired, and her nightly ice cream.
Nora is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Victoria Teed; grandsons, Curtis Teed, and Clifford (Emily) Teed; three great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Debbie (Scott) McCright, and Cathy (Dean) Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvie Jellison; son, Stephen Jellison; and sister, Nada Gerdts.
