In these grim times, we need to look for positives even as the federal and Republican-controlled state governments devolve into despotism.

At least Ashley Hinson hasn't jumped the anti-LGBTQ shark by claiming Linn-Mar schools provide litter boxes for students who identify as cats.

Not yet, anyway.
