Lois May Frisk (Fields), passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the age of 90.
Born in Koztá, Iowa, on April 18, 1935, the daughter of George Wilbur and Ruth Irene Fields, she grew up in a large family alongside eleven siblings, sharing a home filled with love and laughter. Lois treasured family gatherings, which were marked by music, skits, and potluck feasts. She dedicated her career to Rockwell Collins, where she worked until her retirement. Lois was also a skilled cross-stitcher, creating beautiful keepsakes, marking loved ones’ milestones and memories. Lois was a caring and loving woman, who will be remembered for her kind spirit and the warmth she brought to every life she touched. She will be loved and missed until we meet again.
She is survived by her siblings: Carol (Bill) Rawson, Penny (Don) Zeller, and Mike Fields; Stepson, Bart (Melanie) Frisk; grandchildren, Jayme (David Bates) and Derek Frisk; two great-grandchildren, Jenni and Jacob; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents George Wilbur and Ruth Irene (Kimbrough) Fields; Her husband Jack Frisk; first husband, Keith Collier; children, Randy Fields and Lou Ann Goldie; twin sister, Louise Pierce; sisters, Bonnie Miller, Evelyn Weaver, Shirley Lauterbach, Cheryle Hootman, and Pauline Hanson; brothers, Douglas Fields and George Fields Jr. ("Butch").
Celebration of Life Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW in Cedar Rapids. Private family inurnment will be in Linwood Cemetery.
