Harry Eugene Hawley, 88, passed away on Friday, October 3rd, 2025 at his home.
Visitation will be held at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, October 9th, 2025. Services will be held at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 10th at 10:30 AM. Interment will be held at Urbana Cemetery at 11:30 AM, followed by a luncheon at the Legion Hall in Urbana.
Harry was born on July 7th, 1937 in Benton County to Arthur and Ruth (Featherkyle) Hawley. Harry graduated from Urbana High School, was an Army Veteran, and was a farmer for most of his life. Harry was married to Jane Hawley June 12th, 1999.
Harry enjoyed collecting and restoring antique cars, as well as collecting antique scales. He was a member of the AACA, the Hudson Essex Club, the V8 Club, the Gas Engine Restorers Club of Cedar Rapids, and the Mustang Club. He enjoyed road trips to swap meets, loved his dog Benny, and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and especially his great-grandchildren.
Harry is survived by his wife, Jane Hawley; daughters Michele (Alfredo) Ricardo and Tammy Ryan; grandsons Brian (Katelyn) Hawley, Chris (Megan) Hawley, and Travis Ryan; great-grandsons Pierce Hawley and Everett Hawley; step-daughter Saundra (Bill) Dygert; and step grandchildren Sara Dygert and Allie Dygert.
He was preceded by his parents, his son Charles Hawley.
