Kathryn “Kathy” Ann Myers, 76, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, Iowa. A celebration of Kathy’s life will be conducted by her family at a later date with burial to take place at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family.
Kathy was born September 10, 1949, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Merlin and Laura (Tschiggifrie) Bideaux. She graduated from Jefferson High School. She married Robert Hahn right out of high school. Later, she was united in marriage to Lamont Myers on April 3, 1981. Kathy worked at K-Mart back in the 1970’s and for CRYOVAC for over 35 years until her retirement in 2006. As a true ‘girly girl’ she was a professional shopper and always went on late night trips to Walmart with her sister, Shelley. She was the most giving person you would meet. Kathy enjoyed working on her flower garden and making it look beautiful. She also enjoyed going to Leisure Lake, watching hummingbirds or “hummers” and doing her “crafties”. She loved to vacation and travel and one of her favorite places was Hawaii. Kathy will be truly missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Hahn of Cedar Rapids; granddaughter, Shayna Hahn; and great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Dereon, and Dayley Kirkpatrick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamont Myers; parents, M.J. “Gunner” Bideaux and Laura Bideaux; sister, Michelle Hall; and grandmother, Ruby Bideaux.
