Constance “Connie” May Klein
Cedar Rapids
With heavy hearts and fond memories, we share that Constance “Connie” May Klein, 87, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
Born August 29, 1938, in Hopkinton, Iowa, Connie lived a life full of love, laughter, and determination. She married the love of her life, Del Klein, and together they shared 52 years of marriage until his passing.
Connie’s infectious laugh, generous spirit, and unstoppable energy made her unforgettable. Her greatest joy was found in the company of family and friends. To her grandchildren, she’ll forever be remembered by the sweet scent of frosting—Connie was a gifted cake decorator—and the comforting aroma of pies fresh from her oven. Her green thumb kept her gardens bursting with color, and she found peace along trout streams with a fishing pole in hand.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Del, and her sons Randy, Anthony “Moe,” and Tracy.
Connie’s memory lives on through her son Dan (Sara) Klein, her daughter Laura (Jeff Lynge) Evans, 10 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her boundless love.
As Connie wished, private family services will be held.
“Her children rise up and call her blessed” (Proverbs 31:28). May we honor her by living with the same love, joy, and faith that she poured into each of us.
