Cedar Rapids Police investigating shots fired

The Cedar Rapids Police Department is investigating a shots fired incident that happened in southwest Cedar Rapids Monday evening, according to a press release from the department.
Police were called to the intersection of 10th Avenue SW and 10th Street SW at 5:20 p.m. Monday for a report of shots fired. No injuries were reported, but officers found property that had been hit by gunfire, according to the release.
No one has been arrested in relation to the shots fired, but police believe it was an isolated incident and there is not an ongoing threat to the public. Anyone with information about the shots fired is asked to contact the police department, the release states.
