Rudy “Dude” Light, 72, of Lisbon, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Dude’s final fall party is 1:00-7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the farm, 1013 Hoosier Road, Lisbon, Iowa 52253.
Rudy was born on September 22, 1952, the son of Marvin and Alberta (Gaines) Light. He was united in marriage to Penny Randall on May 21, 1988.
Rudy always looked forward to the annual guy trips with his friends and families. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, gardening, canning, attending wrestling tournaments, and drinking Old Milwaukee Light. He was a great man and a friend to everyone. If you knew him, you loved him.
Rudy is survived by his wife; children, Shane (Kari) Light, Zach (Louise) Light, Ike (Erin) Light, Tyler (Erin) Light, and Haylee (Sean) Armstrong; grandchildren, Zeva (Ben) Chaise (Tyler) Kirstin, Johnny, Zachery Jr., Ruby, Jacoby, Brogan, Henley, Hadley, Huxley, Anthony, Adrian, and Maggie; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Ronnie (Nardina) Light, Richard (Barb) Light, Reona (Tom) Ewald, Ronda (Dale) Conner, Randy (Cindy) Light, and Rozan (Gary) Benson.
Rudy was preceded in death by his parents and great-grandson Waylin.
