AMES — Iowa State announced Tuesday in a news release that star senior point guard Tamin Lipsey suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in practice and will be out for four to six weeks.
Lipsey, a 2024 All-American and two-time All-Big 12 selection, averaged 10.6 points, 3.1 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game last season.
The Ames native is also the Cyclones’ all-time steals leader with 237.
Iowa State and head coach T.J. Otzelberger will have no further comment on the injury, according to the release.
