Leo J. Boyle, 72, Cedar Rapids, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at his residence in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Burial at Czech National Cemetery has been afforded. A private Celebration of the Lives of Leo and Linda Boyle with family and friends will be held. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service is serving the family.
Leo John was born to Neville and Betty on March 23, 1953, in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from the Class of 1971 from Washington High School. Leo then served his country in the Army, earning the rank of Tank Commander Sergeant. He loved fishing and worked as a painter and maintenance worker. He would later join Millwrights Local 2158, where he worked his way up to Journeyman Millwright at Blahnik Construction. His final, and most important job was as caregiver to his dear Linda.
Leo is survived by his daughter, Debbie Rawson; and sons, Michael and Dave Boyle. He is additionally survived by many beloved grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Linda (Boyer); parents, Neville and Elizabeth “Betty” (Nemec) Boyle; son, James “Doobie” Boyle; and siblings, Cheryl (Adamson), James, Cathy (Stickley), and Patrick Boyle.
