Oktoberfest returns to Uptown Marion for its fourth year on Saturday, Sept. 20.
The annual festival at 1001 Seventh Ave. will feature the opportunity to sample a wide variety of beer styles from dozens of breweries around Iowa and surrounding areas. Each brewery will have representatives on hand to visit with fans and educate them on their beers.
Attendees can play traditional German games like hammerschlagen, keg rolling and stein holding, and enjoy live music from Lyle Beaver and the Brass Notes.
Tickets are available now at givebutter.com/MarionOktoberfest. General admission tickets cost $40 and include access to breweries from 12 to 3 p.m. An exclusive VIP ticket, for $60, offers early access to brewers at 11 a.m., plus a VIP glass.
Online ticket sales end Sept. 19 at 5 p.m. Tickets will be available while supplies last at the entrance.
Proceeds benefit the Iowa Brewer’s Guild as well as Marion’s Winter Lights program, which funds the city’s community beautification during the holiday season.
