Debra Sue Walderbach, 64, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025, at her home. Visitation: 1 – 3 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2025, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, with a Memorial Service to immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial: Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, Iowa.
Debra was born August 1, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Duane and Janice (Bergan) Danielson. She graduated from Prairie High School and Kirkwood Community College. On May 2, 1981, she was united in marriage to William W. Walderbach at Hope Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. Debra was also a very proud member of Prairie Alumni. She worked for ARC of Cedar Rapids and Girl Scouts for many years. She was a dedicated special needs lead for the Boy Scouts as well. Scrapbooking was one of her favorite hobbies along with her gnome collection. Debra loved spending time with her grandkids and watching them bowl. She always participated in the Especially For You Walk and was a breast cancer survivor. Debra enjoyed surprise gifts from her daughter-in-law, and she always kept in touch.
She was a kind, people person who will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her children, Daniel (Shannon) Walderbach and Lisa (Jacob) Starks; grandchildren, Sean and Rayne Walderbach and Amelia Starks; mother, Janice Danielson; siblings, Beth (Kevin) Schulte and Brian (Sandy) Danielson; mother-in-law, Donna Walderbach; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Debra was preceded in death by her father, Duane; husband, William; and father-in-law, Jim Walderbach.
Memorials may be directed to the family or ARC of East Central Iowa.
