On September 8, 2025, Barbara Jeanne (Nading) Miller left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Barbara was born to Walter LeRoy and Edna Dora (Buhman) Nading in Fayette, Iowa on October 15, 1940. Throughout her high school and college days, Barbara excelled at basketball on offense and defense. After completing high school as salutatorian, she enrolled in Upper Iowa University, graduating with a degree in elementary education. She taught 4th grade students in Nashua, Iowa. In 1962 she met Bobbie Neal Miller, and they began their life together as husband and wife on June 25, 1964. Barbara moved from Iowa to San Diego supporting her husband in the Navy. From San Diego, after Bobbie retired from the Navy, they moved to Maltby, Washington where they built their family home and raised their children. In 1990, they moved to East Wenatchee, Washington to enjoy their retirement years.
Barbara dedicated her life to serving God, her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved church and singing in the choir, gardening, camping, fishing, baking, sewing, cross-country skiing and traveling. After the death of her husband in 2014, Barbara traveled with her good friend Eva Williams throughout Europe and the U.S. on cruises. Barbara enjoyed serving others, volunteering at local voting booths, with the VFW, and through Faith Lutheran Church in East Wenatchee.
Barbara leaves behind her loving children Mark (Marci), Debbie, her husband’s children Dennis (Dana), DiAnn (Robert), nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and brother Gary (Pam). Patty, her husband’s daughter, preceded Barbara in death.
