Swine inspection to change

I know you folks have enough on your plate, but I need to add another side dish. As a Federal Meat Inspector, (CSI), I've got some bad news.
There is a new proposal to change swine inspection which states that the inspectors no longer will be required to cut open or examine lymph nodes — which is now required to see if the pig has an abscess or not — in order to eliminate the need for inspectors in swine plants. I see this solely as an attempt to reduce the federal workforce, regardless of the health of the general public.
Together, we have a larger soap box than I do by myself, so, while I will write and complain to my congressional representatives, although I hold no hope with those currently in office, being in Northeast Iowa, I hope you can widen the signal in order to stop this.
