IOWA CITY — Iowa football’s running back Kamari Moulton left the team’s season-opening game against Albany after just one drive.
The starting RB left for the locker room with a tear on the right side of his jersey. He had three carries for 22 yards, including one 10-yard rush.
No additional information was provided by Iowa Athletics, but Moulton returned to the sideline with a sling on his right arm,
The Hawkeyes have relied on Terrell Washington Jr. and Xavier Williams to take the majority of snaps since Moulton left.
Iowa’s offense has already been playing without wide receivers Reece Vander Zee and Jarriett Buie, both of whom were ruled out prior to kickoff.
Moulton rushed for 473 yards last season over all 12 games, scoring three touchdowns.
