Absentee ballot requests now available
Linn, Johnson county voters have until Oct. 20 to submit their requests

Voters in Linn and Johnson counties now can request absentee ballots for the Nov. 4 election.
Absentee ballot requests opened this week and will remain open through Oct. 20. The Nov. 4 ballot will include a host of city and school elections across the area, as well as multiple bond issues.
Linn County voters can find printable absentee ballot request forms on the county website at bit.ly/LinnAbsentee25 or send an email to elections@linncountyiowa.gov. Forms also can be requested by texting “Absentee” to 319-237-7676 or calling 319-892-5300 and pressing option 1.
Johnson County voters can find the request form online at bit.ly/mailedabsentee or call the auditor’s office at 319-356-6004 to request a form be sent via mail.
Completed requests should be returned to the voter’s county auditor’s office. Forms can be returned in person or via mail as long as they are returned by 5 p.m. Oct. 20.
Election officials will release additional information around in-person voting closer to Election Day.
