CEDAR RAPIDS — Motorists can expect some impending traffic disruption near the intersection of Interstate 380 and First Avenue West in Cedar Rapids.
Beginning Wednesday, the two outside, westbound lanes of First Avenue West between Third and Fifth streets will be closed to accommodate phase two of the First Avenue West and I-380 Southbound Off-Ramp Intersection project.
The two easternmost lanes of traffic at the First Avenue/I-380 southbound exit ramp also will be closed, but a right turn lane and a combined through/left-turn lane will remain open.
The adjusted traffic pattern will remain in place for approximately two months. Motorists are advised to use the posted detours and use extra caution while driving in work areas.
