Cedar Rapids police investigating Sunday stabbing

CEDAR RAPIDS — The Cedar Rapids Police Department is investigating a stabbing that happened Sunday evening, according to a news release from the department.
Police were called to the 3100 block of First Avenue NE at 9:39 p.m. Sunday for a report of a disturbance. They found an adult victim with a stab wound, and the person was transported to a hospital, the release states.
No other information has been released about the incident or the status of the victim. Any witnesses with information about the stabbing have been asked to call Linn County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-272-7463.
