Rusty and Jeanne (Brannian) Clayton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary yesterday at the Brooklyn Ruritan Building with family and friends. The couple met in high school and were united in marriage on August 16, 1975 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brooklyn, Iowa. The years have been filled with devotion to their family, churches, and community, road trips to family vacation spots, hardware store conventions, BBQ competitions and car shows, and travel across the country and the globe to visit their kids.

Their children are Reed Clayton and Lauren (Jordan) Hagert. They have one grandson, Bear Hagert.
