Juvenile facing charges in Iowa City shots fired incident
Incident happened near Iowa City Marketplace around 6:30 p.m. Monday night

Police recovered a gun and charged a juvenile male in connection with a shots-fired call near the Iowa City Marketplace Monday evening.
Police were called to the area behind the marketplace, 1660 Sycamore St., around 6:20 p.m. Monday after someone reported hearing shots fired.
Responding officers found evidence of shots fired and recovered a gun. A juvenile male, who was not identified by police, was detained and faces charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon, minor in possession of a firearm, going armed with intent, assault while displaying a dangerous weapon and use of a dangerous weapon in commission of a crime.
He was taken to the Linn County Juvenile Detention Center.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and say additional charges are possible. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
