Which store items are taxable or non-taxable for Iowa’s 2025 sales tax holiday this weekend?

Iowa’s annual sales tax holiday is held the first Friday and Saturday of August. So this weekend, the holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1 and ends at midnight before Sunday.

The Iowa Department of Revenue has provided an alphabetical list of representative items, found below, beginning with the items that are exempt from Iowa sales tax.
