John and Evelyn Lewis are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary on September 28th with relatives in Cape Coral, FL. They were married in Cedar Rapids in 1940. They have two children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
John (age, 96) retired from Collins Radio and Evelyn (age, 90) retired from Linn County Schools. Evelyn is a graduate or McKinley High School, while John graduated from Lormior High School. John served in the Navy in World War II and Korea. Both were avid golfers. Now, John plays bridge in his spare time.
