IOWA CITY — A new restaurant with Mediterranean and Middle Eastern options has opened in Iowa City.
Saj Grill, 23 S. Dubuque St., opened quietly in mid-April.
The restaurant’s menu includes a build-your-own style for pitas, wraps and bowls. Entrées, starting at about $10, include shawarma and gyro platters. The menu also includes halal-certified options.
Sides include hummus, dolmah, baba ganoush and fries.
The downtown space was previously occupied by Which Wich.
