Thanks to The Gazette and Emily Anderson for their amazing storytelling and continued, outstanding coverage of the ongoing crisis facing immigrants in Eastern Iowa. They movingly note the devastating pain and heartbreak ICE inflicts on our communities. ICE tears families and towns apart! All families belong together. That’s why Escucha Mi Voz is tirelessly working to bring Pascual Pedro home now!
With the passage of the budget reconciliation act we’re going to see a massive escalation of deportations. These deportations will explode because the administration now has a chilling $175 billion for immigration enforcement. The president, Sens. Grassley and Ernst and Rep. Miller Meeks approved this because they want to create an anti-immigration police state to bully those of us concerned or opposed to them into giving up. They want to strong arm us into silence. Now more than ever we need to stand up and fight back!
Sen Grassley, Ernst and Rep. Miller-Meeks created this unjust travesty.
They need to repair the damage they’ve done. They need to bring back Pascual now! House Majority Leader Steve Scalise intervened for one of his constituents unjustly treated by ICE. Grassley, Ernst and Miller-Meeks must do the same.
By standing together we know we can make Iowa a place where our families stay together, our rights are protected, and our towns are safe from ICE. It starts with bringing Pascual back. Join us in demanding to bring Pascual back!
