Armond Pagliai Sr., 92, of Iowa City, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025, after a lifetime of dedication to his family. His work ethic was unyielding, and his motto was to treat every pizza like a work of art made with care and consistency and treat the customer as you would want to be treated.
A funeral service to celebrate Armond will be at 10:00 am on Monday, July 21 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Iowa City with Father Andrew Rauenbuehler officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. A private family burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 pm on Sunday, July 20 at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mary’s Catholic Church to support engaging our youth in parish life, Iowa City Hospice or the Friends of the Animal Center Foundation.
