Iowa added a prominent nonconference opponent to its 2025-26 home men’s basketball schedule with a Nov. 14 game against Xavier. The game is posted on Xavier men’s basketball’s website.
The Musketeers of the Big East Conference have been a traditionally strong program, with 30 NCAA tournament appearances, including 2025 when they beat Texas before losing to Illinois.
Xavier was 22-12 last season. Its last game against Iowa was in 2013.

Nov. 14 — Xavier
Nov. 25-26 — Acrisure Classic (opponents TBD), Palm Springs, Calif.
Dec. 11 — at Iowa State
Dec. 20 — Bucknell (in Des Moines)
