CEDAR RAPIDS — A new pizza concept is coming to the restaurant triplex in the MedQuarter.
Sip at Midtown Reserve, a new restaurant pairing pizza and fine wines, will be coming soon to 319 Seventh St. SE. The space, located in the triplex owned by Kory Nanke’s Epic Catering LLC, will replace the Tipsy Tomato concept.
“At Sip, we’re pairing handcrafted Artisan pizzas with a selection of wines in a cozy, stylish setting perfect for date nights, gatherings with friends, or a solo glass of something special,” the restaurant said in a post detailing the concept June 30.
An opening date has not yet been announced.
The last restaurant in the space focused on personal pizzas at its opening in February 2023, before pivoting to salads and sandwiches with a remodel in September 2024.
It’s unclear when Tipsy Tomato closed. Its social media was active until December.
The triplex is also home to the sister restaurant Midtown Reserve, a more upscale steakhouse with a lounge area.
