MARION — A martini bar is growing quickly after its debut in Linn County earlier this year.
BarTini’s, the martini bar with Mediterranean mezes in the trending Kingston Yard development in Cedar Rapids, has announced plans for a second location in Marion.
The second location is seeking experienced bartenders, servers and cooks to make the opening happen at 796 11th St., the corner suite that used to be occupied by Crab Attack Seafood Kitchen & Bar. The space has been vacant since the seafood restaurant closed on Dec. 28.
Owner Darin Beck said he hopes to have the second location open in September.
Beck opened the concept in Cedar Rapids early this year. The Iowa City resident previously founded The Stuffed Olive in 2005 and oversaw the brand’s expansion from Cedar Falls to Iowa City, among other locations, before he retired and sold his share of the company in January 2024.
Today, he also owns Shelly O’Shea’s in Cedar Falls and Rail Station in Waterloo.
BarTini’s is known for its unusually large menu, with over 100 martini options of all types, as well as Mediterranean-style appetizers and small plates.
