William (Bill) Craig Williams, age 73, passed away Thursday, July 3 at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Austin, MN. A funeral service will be held at Bridge Community Church in Albert Lea, MN on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 2 pm with a visitation at 1 pm. Pastor Mark Miller will be officiating.

Bill was born at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA on September 15, 1951 at 10 pm to parents Wendell and Doris (Rammelsberg) Williams. Bill married Victoria (Vicki) E. Reed on July 7, 1979 at Calvary Baptist Church. Together they have three children, Wendi, Stephanie and Weston. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

Bill was a truck driver. He started driving at Ellsworth and CRST trucking company. He then owned three of his own trucks and went to J.R. Schugel Trucking and spent 35 years driving over 5 million miles in his career.

Bill enjoyed many other activities outside of driving, spending time with his children and grandchildren, watching Hawkeye football games, camping, riding bike, golfing, coin collecting and bowling with friends. He had a love for racing, reading books and listening to good music. John Wayne was his favorite actor and enjoyed his Western movies. He also had a love for trains.

Bill is survived by his wife, Vicki Williams; children, Wendi (Chris) Smith, Stephanie Williams and Weston (Miranda) Williams; granddaughters Marianna Williams and Cora Smith; his mother, Doris Williams, his sister Linda Root and brothers, James Williams, Charles Williams and Dennis Williams. Bill is preceded in death by his father, Wendell Williams; his brother Robert Williams and his sister Sherri Peters.
