Earl Fisk, 84, of Cedar Rapids passed away on June 21, 2025, in hospice care at the Terrace Glen Village Senior Living Center in Marion, Iowa, after battling with many health complications.
Earl was born May 24, 1941, to Sylvester Carl and Anna Margaret Fisk of Lamont, Iowa. Earl graduated from Lamont High school in 1959 and moved to Cedar Rapids shortly after taking up a position at Rockwell Collins for 35 years as their youngest Foreman at 21 and later Production Supervisor.
Earl married Susan Currell in 1964, had 2 children, Aaron and Kimberlee, and they enjoyed 34 loving years together until her passing in 1998.
Earl was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, playing basketball, viewing sports, and going to casinos. He also enjoyed dancing and seeing great music performances with his wife such as the big bands of Jerry Lee Lewis, The Big Bopper, Johnny Cash, and Elvis when they visited Iowa.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Angeline and Elvira, and his wife Susan. He is survived by his brother Joseph and sister Roselyn, along with his children Aaron and Kimberlee and his beloved grandchildren.
A celebration of life reception will be hosted by the family on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with the Certified Celebrant, Randy Walton officiating. A livestream of the memorial service will also be available on the Cedar Memorial website under Earl’s obituary, under the video tab, starting at 11:00 am on August 1, 2025. Inurnment to follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery Garden of the Cross.
