North Liberty man charged with sexually abusing 15-year-old

A North Liberty man was arrested Monday on charges that he sexually abused a 15-year-old.

Het Mital Patel, 24, is charged with two counts of third-degree sexual abuse.

According to the criminal complaint, Patel sexually abused the 15-year-old between August 2023 and April 2024 at a residence in North Liberty.

As of Monday afternoon, he had not yet appeared in court on the charges and information about his bond was unavailable.
