Trump, GOP trying to stop semi truck speed regulation

The Gazette offers audio versions of articles using Instaread. Some words may be mispronounced.
Highway safety organizations have been trying to get a "speed limiting governor" requirement in heavy trucks to reduce their involvement in fatal crashes, but now Donald Trump and his Republicans and big trucking are trying to shoot down this common sense safety proposal. Contact your U.S. senators and representatives and tell them to vote "pro-life" in favor of this speed governor requirement, and vote AGAINST any attempt to dump this crash preventive thing.
Too many lawmakers get their election funding from Big Money/Big Business/Big Trucking, but they don't get any such "funding" from the victims that get ran over by big rig speed. There is an even better high tech crash prevention system than speed governors and speed cameras.“ Google "intelligent speed adaptation" (you've probably never heard of it). The heavy foot zealots and Republicans would blow their fuses if anyone proposed such a system.
Another issue. The immigrants that are doing the hard labor, nasty jobs that Americans won't do, and are not into crime and are not a danger to anyone or anything and are safe drivers, should be allowed to stay here in the U.S. even if they haven't got the correct papers. We need them. Do you think Donald Trump and his storm troopers will make any allowance for these?
