Ernst has not earned our respect

I often slip when I first type the name of our junior Senator and spell it as Earnst — but there is no “ear” in Ernst, as he recent flippant response to constituents shows, nor has she “ear-ned” our respect and support.

Her lame faux apology, taped in a graveyard, contained an equally lame pitch for her “Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” One can take this several ways. I see it as sacrilege. Others may say to themselves, “If the heartlessness (and lies) Sen. Ernst displays are the marks of a Christian, I want no part of it.”

What was the purpose of that video? It’s probably just a dog whistle to her white Christian Nationalist backers saying, “See, it’s easy to call yourself Christian without actually following Jesus Christ’s teachings."
