Burl Clark Sealls, age 76, of Cary, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, at The Pearl of Rolling Meadows.
Burl was born on July 7, 1948, in Anamosa, Iowa, to Edmond T. and Doris (Clark) Sealls. He graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids in 1966 and continued his education at the University of Iowa, where he earned a degree in Business Marketing.
Burl enjoyed a long and successful career in marketing and sales, which afforded him the opportunity to travel extensively overseas in his younger years. He was a superb businessman, known for his professionalism, dedication, and keen sense of strategy. Outside of work, Burl had a passion for fishing and valued time spent with family and friends.
On November 9, 2022, Burl married Sandra “Sandi” Stamp, who survives him. Together they shared a loving bond and cherished their blended family.
Burl is survived by his wife Sandi; three children: Nicholas (Chris) Sealls of Austin, Texas; Travis (Whitney) Sealls of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Courtney (Sandy) Sanfilippo of Sicily, Italy; two stepchildren: Jeremy Stamp of Illinois and Cary Stamp of Florida; one brother: Craig (Gretchen) Sealls of Cedar Rapids; and eleven beloved grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a close aunt, Nellie Mae Glick.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Dawson Funeral Services in Olin, Iowa. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Olin Cemetery.
