Helen I. Timm, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 2, 2025. She passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side at her daughter’s home in Oklahoma.

Helen was born on January 8, 1936, in Decorah, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence Norman Dotseth and Paula (Morgan) Fleming. She married the love of her life, Merlyn L. Timm, on March 2, 1957, in Bennett, Iowa. They were married for 66 years.

Merlyn and Helen farmed for many years near Lowden, Iowa. After leaving the farm, Helen devoted herself to being a stay-at-home wife and mother. She was very active in her church and cherished spending time with her family.

Helen is survived by her children: Marilyn (Doug) Hintz of Le Claire, IA; Pat (Rex) Rohwedder of Anamosa, IA; Lee (Lisa) Timm of Cedar Rapids, IA; Kurt (Kerri) Timm of Buffalo, MN; and Christine (Todd) Griebel of Coweta, OK. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Joshua Chamberlin, Jenny Kerr, Machelle Valle, Jeremy Chamberlin, Jeff Hintz, Amy Schnepp, Michael Griebel, Halle Timm, Matthew Griebel, Mason Griebel, and Macie Timm; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlyn; her parents, Clarence Dotseth and Paula Fleming; two brothers, Frank Dotseth and Michael Dotseth; and her daughter-in-law, Kathy Timm.

A private family ceremony will be held in her honor.
