Timothy L. Cook
Cedar Rapids
The Lord called Timothy home Sunday, June 8, 2025, from Grandview Dementia Care in Oelwein, IA.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom. Interment will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 – 11 AM, Thursday, June 12 at Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom.
Tim was born in Sioux Falls, SD on May 15, 1962, to Leo and Donna Cook; at six weeks old, he moved to Cedar Rapids and later Marion, IA where he spent his childhood and attended Marion Schools, graduating from Marion High School. He worked through Goodwill Industries, getting his job at Menards and working there for over twenty years. Tim bought his house and was very proud of that. Tim loved his video games, movies, country music, singing karaoke, and having his friends over for pizza. He attended Fan Fair in Nashville with his dad for many years, which he enjoyed. Tim attended and was confirmed at Ascension Lutheran Church where he was a charter member. He attended St. Mark Lutheran Church later and loved his Lord deeply.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Cook of Hiawatha; sister, Carla Miller and family of Waterloo; Uncle David and Aunt Rosemary of Seattle, WA; Uncle Royce and Aunt Deanna of Sioux Falls, SD; and many cousins.
Tim was preceded in death by his father Leonard Cook; grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.
The family wishes give their thanks for the care and support given to Tim at Meadowview Dementia and Grandview, also the wonderful hospice care by Compassus.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to Tim’s favorite charities.
