Bob Tribuno, 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 2 at home surrounded by family and his parish priest.
Bob is survived by his wife of 49 years Bertha; children Peter (Emerald), Michael, and Ann Louise; and grandchildren Leighton and Porter. He was preceded in death by his parents Mario and Marie Louise Tribuno; sister Diane Gravenites, and two loyal Golden Retrievers Flash and Ethan.
He was active at St. Matthew Catholic Church, a passionate choral singer, and a volunteer for numerous charities. He found joy in flying, sailing, hiking, biking, and music—especially when shared with family. An electrical engineer at Collins Radio for 37 years, Bob contributed to major aircraft flight control systems and held five patents.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. A Visitation will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral from 4-6 PM on Tuesday, June 10.
