Barbara Ann (Barvinek) Jensen, 90, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025.
Barbara was the daughter of Ethel and William Barvinek born October 12, 1934. She was united in marriage March 14, 1954, to John Jensen; they celebrated 66 years together.
Barb was known for her glowing love for family, enduring kindness to animals, delicious cooking and baking, and was the best mother and grandmother imaginable. She will be greatly missed and her family will hold cherished memories of her, forever.
Survivors include her brother, William Barvinek Jr.; children, James (Pamela) Jensen, Sherry (Terry) Myhlhousen, Jerry Jensen and Nancy Berens; grandkids, Lyndsay (Jordan) Gaffey, Jase Jensen, Rob (Angie) Myhlhousen, and Candice (Jason) Nokes; and nephews and nieces. Barb was a proud great-grandma to Graham and Avery Gaffey and Laura and Wes Myhlhousen.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John; and sister-in-law, Sue Barvinek.
The family would like to thank Hallmar Care Village and Hospice of Mercy for their loving care in the final months and days of her life.
A private family service will be held at Czech National Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to any charity caring for animals.
