The Eastern Iowa Airport (CID) set another monthly total passenger record in April with a total of 125,992 passengers choosing to fly CID — a 10 percent increase compared to April 2024. That makes four consecutive record-breaking months for total passengers, which is 8 percent higher year-to-date compared to the same time in 2024.
In May, two of Allegiant’s popular seasonal routes returned: nonstop service to Nashville and Los Angeles. Those passenger numbers are not yet reflected in the monthly reports for 2025. Airport Director Marty Lenss says the airlines keep investing in the market with capacity increases (seats available) for the summer.
“We are anticipating another busy summer as people look to book summer travel,” he said in a statement.
Lenss says the airport’s terminal modernization project is slated to be complete this fall, with the entire concourse open in time for Thanksgiving travel.
