Ralph Norman Jordan, 73, of Mount Vernon, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025. Visitation: 4-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2025, Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon, Iowa. Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2025, Living Hope Global Methodist Church, Lisbon, Iowa. Burial: Mount Vernon Cemetery, Mount Vernon.
Ralph was born on May 13, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Everett and Lorene (Uthoff) Jordan. He was united in marriage to Cathy Walker on December 5, 1981, at the Mount Vernon Methodist Church, to this union a daughter Melissa was born.
After graduating from High School, farming became Ralph’s life. Ralph served as a trustee for the Living Hope Global Methodist Church and the Mount Vernon Fire Department. He was a member of the sauerkraut committee for many years. Ralph and Cathy opened their home to many foreign exchange students over the years.
Ralph is survived by his wife, brother, Darrell (Donna) Jordan; many nieces and nephews; many in-laws; and his dog, Sadie.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Melissa “Missy” Jordan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Living Hope Global Methodist Church, Camp Courageous, or the Mount Vernon Fire Department.
