Finally, Congress is addressing the real problem for Americans. Middle-class and low-income people have too much money! They expect to go to doctors and hospitals, afford groceries, buy that car they need to get to work. They want safe child care so they can go to work. It’s not fair to ask a billionaire to contribute to take care of them! Sure, taxes pay for the highways that semis use to transport corporate products. The gas tax poor folks pay should be enough to repair the roads and highways those trucks break down. Billionaires should not have to contribute more taxes despite being bailed out frequently by the government during any economic downturn. Why should Elon Musk pay more just because his company Starlink has been given billions of dollars in government research funding and contracts?
Congresswoman Hinson is giving those hardworking millionaires and billionaires the tax cuts they deserve by cutting billions of dollars that feed older Americans, the poor and disabled. Medicaid is on the chopping block. Did you know over 700,000 Iowans depend on Medicaid for their health coverage? But they don’t matter in Trump’s America.
Yes, the 1% of Americans are getting the tax cuts they have earned through big donations and buying elections. A $3 trillion deficit is predicted. Why pretend to be fiscally conservative?
The Big Beautiful Billionaire Welfare Bill is now up for a vote in the Senate. Will Sens. Ernst and Grassley stand with their billionaire donors or with their constituents?
