Both parties have failed the vast majority of citizens. They have become only interested in getting political contributions to so they can get reelected.
We need a proposal that helps low- and middle-income households do better, help seniors keep their Social Security and Medicare and those who need it Medicaid. My proposal is to raise maximum income that contributes to FICA tax that supports these programs from the 2025 limit from $176,100 to $400,000. This would make the programs solvent for years to come. I also would like the 2017 tax cuts kept up to the $400,000 income but be cancel the cuts for those earning beyond that income level. This would give the more flexibility for the budget and possibly make some progress on reducing the national debt.
